Anne Sanger

Chief Taste Bud

Anne grew up in a family that discussed the next meal around the dinner table. Her mom was almost always in the kitchen, turning out loaves of whole wheat bread for school lunch sandwiches, whisking up comforting weeknight meals, and orchestrating beautiful celebratory dinners for friends and family. Her dad prefers all food is crissssp and is the creator of a family-famous pressed grilled cheese with secret sauce and a crunch like no other. Anne raised her own kiddos in a home equally centered around food and cooking. Her kids, now young adults, whip up delicious things for themselves and others in kitchens far, far away and are avid culinary explorers. Anne’s core belief in the power of food to connect and create community led her to create littleCOOKERS, a program for young children which she taught at Wagon Wheel School and privately. Most recently, Anne has been an educator at the glorious Northeast LA Forest School, a nature-based outdoor school for kids. When not cooking, eating, or doing the dishes, Anne loves to be in nature, explore Los Angeles and beyond, play pickleball, listen to funk music, and attend live music shows if they’re not too late at night.
