
Anne’s hands-on cooking classes and parties date back to 2011. Meeting budding chefs where they are and a sense of ease, fun and exploration is at the heart of the Taste Buds experience. We scaffold children so that they may safely engage at their own pace, in their own way. We work closely with grownups to design classes culinary dreams are made of. Let's spark that curiosity!

Kids In-Person Classes, Taste Buds DTLA/Arts District Kitchen:
$200/60 minute session for up to two students. Each additional student $75. Max class size 4 students. For classes that exceed one hour, each additional hour is $100.

$350/60 minute session for up to two students. Each additional student $75. Max class size 4 students. For classes that exceeed one hour, each additional hour is $100.
Note: Kitchen must be able to accommodate the group safely and comfortably with a working stove, oven, sink.

$400/2 hour session for up to two students. Each additional student is $100.

KIDS BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS:
Our cooking parties for ages 4 and up are perfect for young bakers and chefs. We bring the event to your place, complete with chef and all the ingredients and equipment you’ll need. Our team handles set up and cooking clean up!
Some ideas:
Cupcake Extravaganza: kids will mix, scoop and bake cupcakes from scratch and make fantastic frosting to top them with. Then they’ll decorate with an astonishing array of sprinkles and toppings to create the cupcakes of their dreams.
Thai Spring Roll-Up: kids will learn the secrets of creating traditional Thai spring rolls with mouth-watering dipping sauce. They’ll enjoy a primer on rice paper tricks and an opportunity to get creative as they roll their own rolls with an array of fresh, delectable ingredients.
$850 for up to 8 guests. Each additional student is $75. Max group size is 12.

KIDS SMALL-GROUP CAMPS:
School’s out? Craving a large helping of fun in the kitchen with a side of crafts and adventure? Bespoke camp sessions include custom curriculum, private instruction, culinary market/field trips (if age-appropriate and desired), dips in the pool (if age-appropriate and desired). $150/day per kid, 2 kids minimum/4 maximum. Includes private instruction, ingredients, supplies.
How To Book
BOOKING PROCESS:

Private class fees are payable in full at the time of booking. Any incremental ingredient costs, class time, and/or travel fees incurred the day of the event will be billed after the session and are due upon receipt.
Cancellation and Change Policy: Once booked, classes are non-refundable but can be rescheduled with a week’s advance notice. We are unable to provide credit if you have fewer guests than planned. If you need to add guests after the final headcount has been submitted, please contact us right away.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS (IN-PERSON CLASSES):
Equipment: We will reach out to review the cooking equipment needed for your menu and discuss what is available in your kitchen. We can send specialized tools, such as tortilla presses or pasta machines with the Chef and will also provide disposable plates, utensils and serving ware if you prefer not to use yours.
Ingredients: Class/Event fees are inclusive of ingredients. However, if the chosen menu requires premium or unusual ingredients, those costs are incremental and will be quoted in advance.
Recipes and Instructions: We can provide a keepsake handout for each event with a detailed list of equipment needed, ingredients and instructions upon request.
Dietary Restrictions: Please make us aware of restrictions in advance so that we can make modifications. Information on dietary restrictions must be provided no later than 7 days in advance of your class.
Class Times/Schedule: Your Chef will arrive 20 minutes in advance of your scheduled start time to set up and will stay to help clear and clean up the cooking area. Your booking includes this additional time. If the Chef stays longer at your request, incremental time will be billed at $100 for every 30 minutes. Travel time: Class fees are inclusive of up to 30 minutes of estimated one-way travel time for the chef/staff. For locations farther away, we’ll provide pricing for the additional time.
