Our Mission

Our cooking and eating classes are designed to pique curiosity in young people. And grownups too. Join us on the path to expand palates, explore cultures, engage the senses, and tickle the taste buds.

Our core values are: care of self, care of others, care of the planet. We strive to bring joy and a sense of wonder into our shared exploration of flavors, textures, aromas, and colors. We connect with kids from a place of respect and meet kids where they are, no matter what. In our kitchen, kids gain a sense of their own value and abilities and of being useful and capable by having a hand in nourishing their own bodies and souls, and those of others.

Food literacy through cooking is a natural bridge to the development of emerging autonomy and practical life skills. Kids are willing helpers at all ages, enthusiastically getting involved and offering suggestions or opinions.

Anne Sanger

Chief Taste Bud

Anne was raised in a family who discussed the next meal around the dinner table.

Anne raised her own kids in a home just as centered around food and cooking. Now young adults, they're are avid culinary explorers, whipping up delicious things for themselves and others in their own kitchens.

Anne’s core belief in the power of food to inspire and connect people led her to create littleCOOKERS, a cooking program for young children which she taught at Wagon Wheel School and privately. Most recently, Anne has been an educator at the glorious Northeast LA Forest School, a nature-based outdoor school for kids and currently teaches cooking classes at The Oaks School in Hollywood and Sequoyah School in Pasadena

When not cooking, eating, or doing the dishes, Anne enjoys being in nature, exploring the many facets of Los Angeles and beyond, skiing, roller skating, and listening to all kinds of music.
